We enjoyed The Carolina Opry with our son Mike, daughter-in-law Amy, and grandson Kenan who turned 6 at the end of June.

This was our first visit to The Carolina Opry since the Christmas Show last season. While we look forward to the many beloved performers we've seen oin the past, we also loved the new performances that have been added. Take a look at The Carolina Opry 2016 season pricing which provides information about the various shows. Excellent view of the stage and performers. This show has something for everyone, as evidenced in our family group - grandparents, gtown children and our grandson. There is really something for everyone in your family to love. Age does not matter!
Since this was the first live show Kenan had ever experienced and we expected him to be bored with some parts of the performance. In truth, he was not bored at all. In spite of a few attention gaps, he was very involved with what was happening on the stage. He did not understand all the jokes, but he laughed at the performers along with us. Sometimes he would just point and giggle, then look to see if we got the joke too. Whether we did not really really didn't matter, since he was enjoying himself.
I told him in advance that "Let it Go" from Disney's Frozen would be performed. Having seen the movie, he looked forward to it, and knew immediatey when the music started. His suggestion to The Carolina Opry that "starting tomorrow" they should have some scenes from the movie in the backgroound. (Don't bother trying to explain copyright protection to a six year old. It will get you nowhere!) This performance is extraordinary.
Kenan's favorite act was "All That" the award-winning clogging group featured twice on "America's Got Talent." The next day, Kenan was "clogging" on the kitchen tiles and saying "Look at me! Look at me!"
Whether as a group or as individuals, the talent at The Carolina Opry is awesome! Not only are are cast members accomplished musicians in their own field, you can see that they put their heart and sou into each performance. They want their audience to be involved and happy...and we were!
I have also reviewed the Carolina Opry's Christmas Show as well as Good Vibrations (60s, 70s and 80s music.) Both shows should be on your "to do" list. Nothing will put you in the mood for the holidays like this Christmas Show.
