Remember that Ocean Blvd. is extremely crowded druing tourist season. Whenever possible, you should stay on Bus. 17 (Kings Hwy.) until you get to a street where you can make a turn to get to your destination on Ocean Blvd.
Hwy. 17 Bypass is a misnomer. At one time it served as a bypass to Hwy. 17 Business. However, that was before Broadway at the Beach, Hollywood Wax Museum, Water Waves and Coastal Grand Mall were built and became destinations. If you're traveling during tourist season, it's still a little quicker than Bus. 17 if you're headed toward North Myrtle Beach.
Don't forget about Hwy. 31 (Carolina Bays Parkway) This route can help youo avoid a lot of traffic! Check out google driving directions!
