Where to Tee Off
The Travel Channel's take on the "Best Golf Courses on the Grand Strand."The only question is: Where to play first? LowCountry marshes? Budget-friendly fairways? Magnolia-strewn plantations? Myrtle Beach has them all, including discounted multi-course packages. Here are a few of our favorites to hit in Myrtle Beach:
Barefoot Resort
Dunes Golf and Beach Club
Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club
Caledonia Golf and Fish Club
True Blue Golf Plantation
Greens for less GREEN!
OK, true: To play True Bue and our other courses so far, is not cheap, ranging from $100 to $185, depending on the season. But many other Myrtle Beach area golf courses are are very affordable with unique charms that stand up to the big boys.

"Congratulations to the Dunes Club andCaledonia for being ranked among "America's Greatest Public Courses," Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday President Bill Golden said. The Dunes Club was designed by Trent Jones, Sr. and opened in 1948. The course has hosted many golf events. including the U.S. Women's Open, six Senior PGA Tour Championships, and the PGA Professional National Champion.A Mike Strantz design, Caledonia's layout was crafted over 100 acres of property. The course has an antebellum style clubnhouse that required forced carry over water.“Myrtle Myrtle Beach has more outstanding courses than any destination in the country, and having two layouts ranked among America's top 100 public courses is further affirmation of that quality,” Golden said. Golf Digest choose the golf courses based on shot values, resistance to scoring, design variety, memorability, aesthetics, aand conditioning.
