Global Awareness 2009 Calendar (.pdf format)
The Global Awareness Project is a nonprofit organization that helps provide marketing and advertising services to other nonprofits through multimedia art.Their goal is to assist with the marketing and promotion of other non-profit agencies through multimedia art, photojournalism and documentary work. They are creating a network of forward thinking artisans and individuals who understand the need and benefit to reach out and unite a community.
More than 1,000 people attended the "Jewels of the South" weekend-long festival, October 18 and 19, said Carl Kerridge co-founder of the Global Awareness Project, who organized the event at the Cooper House.
The festival hosted about 40 professional folk artists from South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee, 12 musical performers and work from about 40 student artists from the Academy for the Arts, Science & Technology.
