We're still batting 100% at Gulf Stream... Great food... Great serivice (Dustion was awesome)... The Blackened Mahi Mahi was super... and 6 out of 9 of us had the she-crab soup... Next time all 9 of us will get it...

I think we were there on Wednes which was rainy so we missed the sunset....

But like Divines... they weren't very busy either....

Anyway... we'll be back there next month!

Anyone been here in 2009? We went in '08 and loved it, but change in a chef/manager can change that. Any updates appreciated. TIA!

Yep! The name is Gulfstream.... It's in Garden City about 2 miles south of the pier

we took company there at the beginning of July. Lucky for us we had reservations - otherwise there was a 50-60 minute wait!

food and service were great. We had the corner table by the window so we had a wonderful view of the sunset- also looked like there were fish jumping out of the water!

You can download a menu here:

We've been visiting the Gulf Stream Cafe off and on since we discovered it in 1998, so we've seen a lot of changes. A couple years ago they started charging extra for salads, which used to be included with the entree. The prices have also increased substantially over the years. We ate there this year when some friends visited from Virginia, and I would rate the service as average. It's still a beautiful location, especially if you can be there at sunset. I used to rave about this place, but our experience over the last couple years has been less than stellar. Just my 2ยข worth.

Me and Gina had dinner there on September 11th and it was awesome as usual. She had the crab cakes I had the twin tails everythign was spectacular and our waitress was perfect. Never a bad time or meal there. I will add to it in my trip report we had the Divine Dining group dinner week.

Thanks! Leaving NJ Friday... We'll try the Gulf Stream also... It was still good last year..

We will *not* eat at Divines this year... 2 bad experiences last year... I always give a place 1 bad experience... could be an off night... but 2 wipes them off my list...

I think when they lost Keith Wolfe as a managing partner it really hurt them.

We were there on Monday... They we not at all crowded. The food was still VERY good. 2 of us had the blackened Mahi, another the Salmon, and the other the free range chicken. I also went for the She-Crab soup... Couldn't resist.

The only downside was the entree came before my wife finished her salad...

I'll be back with the guys next month for golf and I'll definitely be back!
