Location: Brick,NJ.... MB Condo
The Islamorada is a newer restaurant located at the Colonial Mall adjacent to the Bass Pro Shop.
We had visited last year and wanted to return, everyone once again enjoyed their dinner.
With coupon we had free Alligator nuggets with a delicious sauce...highly recommended, especially for free.
Son and I had cups of New England Clam Chowder---good but filling...Id skip it next time to save room for entree.
Both sons had "special rice" ==sushi rice with Tobiko eggs on top as appetizers.
Young son had salmon roll....oversized and very good
Older son had kids mini pizza--came with fries and packaged cookies..he ate everything but the fries.
I had Shrimp and Grits and let me tell you-----THEY WERE GOOD!!!!!
I couldnt even put a dent in this huge portion, priced at only 14.95
Actually just ate the rest heated up at the condo for a big lunch.
Tasted better the second time around with all the flavors marinating over night.
Husband had sushi....again the rolls here are HUGE so order in bits.
He usually gets seconds, not here.
One man band provided nice music, we were tapping our toes.
Service was top notch, very friendly and in following our pattern they were from NY and Ohio orginally. Nice girl from NY with 2 degrees from NYU---now waitressing and teaching (should tell you something about career moves to MB) but sold her house in NY and bought TWO for cash here. Guess that is the trade-off.
Large stone fireplace was burning for ambience.
Walked around bass pro afterward although none of us are sportsmen, its a very nice shop. 2 minute ride to drop food in condo and head to Barefoot to walk it off.
I recommend Islamorada for seafood and sushi---nice portions and good service and price value.

Oh coolll!!

I just "discovered" this restaurant, the other day, in my search for my list of places we're going to eat. My H is a huge Bass Pro Store fan and I had located this one and saw they also had a restaurant. I was shocked because I had no idea they owned/managed one. I put this on my list as one of H's restaurant choices and I'm glad to see a positive review of it .

Thanks!

We're starting our second week in MB and have eaten here twice. I understand from the family that the spicy tuna roll and the Negihama roll (yellowail and scallions) are excellent....as was the tuna steak wasabi entre. My sister declared the dolphin chardonnay delightful. The baked potatos are baked without foil and are salt rubbed. The vegetable of the day appears to be the vegetable of the 2 weeks but was a nice mix of broccoli, squash, carrot mix...and for once the carrots weren't cooked to mush.

The fish tacos are nicely done with wedges of fish rather than flakes.
