Would love to find a place for Happy Hour that has a great view of the ocean where you can lay back and have a few drinks before heading off to
diner.

Any of the restaurants on the Marshwalk in Murrells Inlet. Not the ocean, but a great view and lots of happy hour specials:

Lots and lots of options in North Myrtle Beach!

We've had our kids at each for Happy Hour. We usually make the Happy Hour visit our dinner. Places like Captain Poo's have $.35 wings and shrimp and $4.99 crablegs during Happy Hour.

Duffy Street has two locations in North Myrtle, and they also have shrimp and crableg specials during Happy Hour. They have a kids menu and serve kids meals in frizbees.

I wasnt sure of the exact loacation of Duffy Street or Captain Poo's so I got directions from where we are staying at Barefoot Resort and it looks like they both may be a little further north than we would want to drive . Are they both up towards Little River ? One of the directions said it would take almost 20 minutes or more does that sound right ? A couple years ago we heard about a little place that was maybe at the Avista Resort called Fish Tails and they advertised a Happy Hour with food specials and all but when we went there was no food and just a couple beer specials .... and really not that many people . Has anyone else been here ? Maybe it was just an off night ? It seemed like it had the potential to be a pretty good place ???

If you must have ocean view, one of the easiest things to do is drive over to the beach (cross 17, take any street to ocean), park and walk to any of the hotels in that Windy Hill area. Most of them have some sort of hh and a walk up bar from the beach. If you don't have to have ocean view, Tbonz at Barefoot has a nice happy hour as well as Wild Wings (with nice deck). Another choice is Oscars, about two blocks up 17. Also, Hamburger Joe's has $1 beers all the time and their back deck is nice.

I checked again yesterday and the place I was thinking of was not at Avista , it's at Bay Watch Resort in N. Myrtle Beach , it's called Fish Tails , they have food and drink specials everyday and it is right on the ocean. They also have on their website that they are having a July 4th party with hamburgers , hot dogs and all the fixin's , one price for adults and one price for children . But , if you're interested in checking out the bar here is a link and you can see what the place looks like and see the specials .

Bummz was a blast! It's great sitting outsite (you do have the option for inside too) seeing the ocean, eating all american food, sipping on a beer, and listening to live music. We had a great time and would like to come back again! They also have a bar outside so if you want to be outside looking at the ocean and only have a drink, this is a good choice.
