We have been coming to MB (off/on) for several years. Depending on age of kids we have stayed a few places but last few times made Sea Watch our home. We love it there because they have a DJ at the pool on Tuesday/Thursday and I guess this year they will be having live music on Monday/Wednesday. The only downfall at SW is the condo living area isn't that large compared to other places we have stayed but we have made it work. This year our new daughter in law will be joining us and not sure it will accomodate five adults. She wants to stay in a couple nights and cook (new for us)!!

So my question is.....are there any other resorts on the northern end of MB or beginning of NMB that has music down by the pools?

Thanks!!!

Terri

The Ocean Reef has had Music/DJs in years past.

You can call them at (843) 449-4441 and ask if that will be the case again this year.

Ocean Annies is part of the Sands, and they have live bands most afternoons and evenings. It is a really festive place (and also kid friendly). The music/ bar area is beside the pool and just off the beach, so you can enjoy the music at the pool, in the lazy river, or on the beach.

Thanks, Scott. I visited some friends from Roanoke when they stayed at Sands Beach Club, and I remembered seeing/hearing live music at Ocean Annie's. But that was some years ago, and my mind is getting muddled with sorting too many hotels and condos. :BandHead:

Thanks everyone....I think we will probably stay at Sea Watch again. We know what we are getting and really like it there. Guess she may just get to know her in laws a little more than maybe she wants :) Kinda left the choice up to her and she thinks atmosphere sounds fun at the Sea Watch so looking forward to coming back to MB this year after going to Florida for their wedding last summer!!

We have stopped in at Ocean Annie's in the evening before but thought I read the rooms at the Sands weren't the best - has anyone stayed there?

We have stayed at Bay Watch in Crescent Beach (North Myrtle) for the past 3 years and LOVE IT. They have live music every evening at their tiki bar area and karaoke several times a week. Also theme dinners in their restaurant and kids activities. Several pools both inside and outside and two lazy rivers (both outdoors and indoors).

After staying there once, we have no desire to go anywhere else. The people who provide the live music are excellent. They also light up the beach at night with huge spotlights so the beach at night is a happening place...

Thanks, I called Bay Watch yesterday and they were out of 2 bedroom condos for the days we will be there. We are definitely going to go and check it out though while we are at MB. I like that you don't have to stay a whole week either. The Sea Watch used to be that way but they changed their policy - our sons are at the age where one of us has a wedding to attend several weekends a summer so its hard to find two weekends together for vacation.

I second the Bay Watch! We stayed here in 2010 and it was my favorite resort so far in MB!
