Wow I am impressed. I thought we were the only ones on this board that went to Harry's Pancakes. See both Lisa and Ron listed it as a favorite. Unless they are referring to Harry the Hats off Shore Drive!

Harry the Hats does not open till lunch, although Finn McCools has breakfast never tried it.

Yes! I know what you mean! We have our absolute favorites and always have good intentions of trying new places but run out of time! We need a month long vacation so that we can hit all of the restaurants on our list! :beerchug:

Laura called it a few days ago, the Short Bar has been evicted from the premises by the Sheriff's Dept.

All that was not part of the lease was removed today and put outside and the locks were changed.

Someone did not pay their rent :)

3. Sea Food Buffet: We try to avoid (lots of choices, nothing exceptional)
4. Breakfast: Sea Captains House, and/or Mammy's
5. Pizza: Ultimate California Pizza

We have been vactioning in Myrtle Beach for about the last 12 years. These are some of the favorites we have accumulated. Some are every year visits, but we do try to eat somewhere new every year. This year we are hoping to visit the libery steak house, and maybe the house of blues breakfast.

1. Burger - River City Cafe
2. Sit down seafood - Divine Fish House
3. Seafood Buffet - None - Way overpriced, you eat too much junk and most of the food is blah. Would rather spend my money on decent food.
4. Breakfast -
5. Pizza - California Pizza
6. Italian - Rossi's
7. Steak - Greg Norman's
8. Kid Friendly Restaurant - Wild Wing Cafe - Barefoot Landing
9. Budget pick - Liberty Tap Room (Happy hour is great).

1. Burger - Shuckers on 300 N Kings Hwy. Juicy and greasy with home-made fries (never tried the Shuckers at BATB)
2. Sit down seafood - Biminis - great happy hour specials, but loud/casual (hopefully you like Buffett tunes)
3. Seafood Buffet - only been to one buffet and it was horrible (wasn't Benjamins, Giant Crab, etc...)
4. Breakfast - Sea Captains House - best 9.00 you'll spend all day
5. Pizza - Basils - though we don't get pizza much on vacation
6. Italian - Villa Romano - the reviews say it all....
7. Steak - Angelos - but only for the steak
8. Kid Friendly Restaurant - Thorny's - great prime rib and lots of activities for the kids.
9. Budget pick - Mr Fish - casual, but awesome seafood at reasonable prices

1. Burger
The Grill at the OD Pavilion. Its not the quality of the food, but the atmosphere that makes it my pick. You can carry the food back out to your beach chair and enjoy it with your feet buried in the sand.

2. Sit down seafood
Too many places to have solid a favorite, but if it's Wednesday we can combine our love for seafood with our love for beach music at Creek Ratz. Sea Cruz plays there every Wednesday.

3. Seafood Buffet Giant Crab Its no better than the others, its just become tradition, and tradition is part of what makes our MB vacation so much fun.

4. Breakfast :
Bagels on the balcony, usually after a morning run.

5. Pizza
Delivery to the hotel room. Add an order of hot wings to that.

6. Italian
Does Domino's count as Italian? We don't usually look for Italian at the beach but last year we went to Rossi's and it was very nice.

7. Steak
Again, not something we usually seek out while on vacation, but my choice for steak would be Greg Norman's Australian Grill. Its kind of expensive, but the whole experience is quite nice, especially outside on the deck overlooking the waterway.

8. Kid Friendly Restaurant:
Its been a long time since this was a concern for us. Maybe when grandchildren come along. (In case my kids read this let me emphasize that when I refer to grandchildren I mean SEVERAL years from now AFTER you finish college AFTER you are married, and AFTER you have a job.)

9. Budget Pick:
Capt. Nance's at Calabash. Not fancy, but the view of the boats, the docks, the gulls and marsh grass.... in the words of Jimmy Buffett “They remind me of where we are.” Traditional Calabash deep-fried fare, healthy portions, and a reasonable price.

My own categories:
10. You can get that anywhere but it tastes better at the beach:
Shag City Grill, inside Fat Harold's, for their famous thick fried bologna sandwich.
11. I know I shouldn't but it just smells so good:
The Fudgery at Broadway at the Beach. If you've smelled it, you understand.
12. Best tasting beer:
The one covered up by the coozie so the lifeguard can't “officially” see that you are drinking it on the beach.
13. You should be ashamed of yourself:
Sam's Corner. Its Sooooo good , and nothing says, “vacation” like a foot long hot dog at 2am.
