Friday -

Scattered storms predicted today so we decided to go out for breakfast which we had not done all week. Last fall, we met Judy (beachlady) and her husband Chris for the first time at a meet up, and then met again later in the week for breakfast at Harry's Breakfast Pancakes at 2306 N. King's Highway. We enjoyed that, so Mike and I headed south once again, and stopped there for pancakes. 2 cakes, 2 eggs and 2 bacon or sausage for $3.89 if you have their little yellow card. If not, I think it's $5.10. Sill not bad! The pancakes, etc. were great and we talked with Vern who was our waitress when we ate there last year with Judy & Chris. Vern has worked at Harry's for 29 years I think. (Judy - correct me if I'm wrong  )

After breakfast we drove out to Coastal Grand Mall, back to Tanger's on 501, etc. Around 4:00 we thought we'd better get back to do some packing and cleaning.
The condo we stay at is privately owned by a person I work with. People who stay there do the clean up, etc, so we needed to get going on that too.

Around 5:30 we decided to walk down to Duffy Street on Main for dinner. We were seated right away. The bucket of nuts held us until our food arrived. We both had the Fish Po' Boy sandwich, with fries, hush puppies and slaw. Delicious! We had very good service as well. This location is very convenient, so we will definately be back.

Mike started packing the car (I forgot to mention he bought a second table top tool at Direct Tools today) while finished up some of the packing and cleaning. Boys and their toys  (Thank Alan for suggesting shipping, but Mike would not hear of it!) I don't know how, but he managed to get everything in the car.

We had an uneventful trip back to Ohio, of course we had to make the traditional stop at Krispy Kreme before leaving. No real issues with construction or anything.

Thanks for reading and traveling along with us! Plans are to be back again in the Fall.

Jan & Mike

Sounds like you had a great trip, Jan. Welcome back to OH. Lots of hot weather here for your return! We have a black/decker & large tool store at our outlet mall here, so I can relate. Our last trip there to get Georgia some clothes at "her stores" resulted in a Porter Cable cordless drill/driver set! We ate at Harry's our last trip down. Great bargain.

Jan, really enjoyed your trip report. You made it all so sound so real (i guess it was (lol). Nice of you to give Harry's a plug. It is just a small family owned business so we know how difficult it is to make it in this economy.

Jan thanks for sharing...I loved your daily installments....the last time we went to Myrtle Beach we spent the night at the same hotel in Greensboro and ate at Fatz...it was really good food...

Thanks for the trip report!

Made a note about Bargain Beachwear. Sounds like this would be one of the better ones to stop at. Since the family always has to stop at atleast one!

Jan,thank you for sharing.
I've been increasing our "to do" list for the last couple of weeks and I can't believe I forgot to add Duffy Street. Great place to eat.

Bargain World is the one where we found the good prices. Location is on the corner of N. Ocean Blvd/Main in NMB across from the OD Pavillion (or just a short walk from Fat Harold's).
