Lou, we were all disappointed that you and Bob didn't make it to the meetup. As you can see in the picture, we had seats saved for you!

We were hoping for a better turnout, but Jan, Mike, Wally and I had a wonderful reunion tonight. I always love these meet-ups because it gives us a chance to re-connect with old friends. This was certainly true tonight when we got together with Jan and Mike. Until you come to a meet-up, you won't understand what I'm talking about, and you might even shake your head, wondering what could be so much fun meeting up with people who post on the same message board. Well, let me tell you that it's a very special connection when this happens!

It has been raining off and on today, so the weather wasn't perfect for our meetup. But we didn't let a few rain clouds bother us. Here we are, enjoying hamburgers, taco chips and beer at the Landshark in downtown Myrtle Beach:

Looks like y'all had fun...and some yummy looking food! I was trying to make it there tonight, but the free shag lessons at Fat Harolds are on Tuesday nights. I keep trying to make a meet up because they always sound like so much fun! I'm glad you keep posting photos of them, too...it's so nice to be able to put faces with names!

Great picture. It looks like you enjoyed yourselves despite the weather.

I posted a message on here the day before the meetup saying we couldn't make it.. I don't know where it went but its par for the course for this trip. Sorry it didn't survive so everyone would have known what was going on..I lost my cell phone signal, and I posted the message I mentioned, then wifi dropped me, and I couldn't get back on my computer after that. But, what I posted was... we were considering coming home early,(which is where I am) because my stress fracture was really bothering me, and I had suffered a minor heat exhaustion episode just a day prior to coming down to myrtle beach. ( I had a major problem years ago on one of our motorcycle trips, riding in death valley when the temp was 124. I've been subseptible to these "episodes" everytime I get overly hot. I am soo very sorry we couldn't make it. I'd have loved to meet everyone... (there were some things that went wrong in MB also, but I won't go into it.. AGain, I apologize for standing everyone up.. forgive me???

Of course we forgive you, Lou! I'm just so sorry to hear about your problems and hope you'll be feeling better soon. There's always "next time."

Get better soon!

Lou, so sorry to hear that you were not feeling well on this trip to MB. I know you must have been very disappointed to cut your trip short. I see that you are like me with your apologies. I will apologize for everything that goes wrong in the world. When is your next trip to MB? We will be there most of the month of October. Hopefully things have improved since you returned home.

Thanks Patrish and Wally for taking time out of your busy day to meet us for dinner - not to mention on your birthday Patrish! Here is the cake I should have brought along - :hb2[1]: and the Happy Birthday singers :party[1]:

We had a great time as always. I've lost count on how many meet-ups we have attended but it is always something we look forward to when we are on vacation.

Kirk - the Landshark Cheeseburger with Swiss is awesome!

Oh man, what a bummer. You have had your problems trying to have an uneventful vacation. I hope that foot of yours is on the mend. There will always be a meet-up and it will be worth the wait.
