Best Info I could find on it....Description: terminal mouth, slender body, small scales; last dorsal ray not elongated; head small and pointed.
Similar Fish: juvenile tarpon, Megalops atlanticus.

Where found: INSHORE fish, in bays and estuaries; occasionally enters freshwater, occurring in tidal pools and canals; often forms large schools and harasses bait at the surface.

Size: 2 to 3 pounds.

Saturday there were lots of schools of bait fish heading south, and in some of the schools something was feeding well, as the fish were jumping. Schools were too far out, I did have 2 friends on boards try and push them in to no avail, only thing caught Sat was a skate and a shark took everything quickly, Sunday was too overcast, so did not hit the beach.

Good luck with the fishing. I know how exciting it is to be only a week away from the big trip.

3 days left father in-law is down he should be heading out tomorrow morning for some fishing, he said he did notice some bait but they would be to small to catch wasnt able to see any mullet yet, also noticed people catching some blues off the pier, when we get back if we get anything good I'll be sure to post some pictures.

Father in law is staying down in Myrtle Beach and tried to go out fishing this morning and the lifeguard said that it was a rule that no one can fish on the beach down there is that true and would it be that way in North Myrtle as well?

Thanks
