Just got back from MB. Looking for something different to do, we went kayaking with our teenagers and had a great time with Conway Kayak Tours (conwaykayak.com). We stayed in Cherry Grove and it only took 35 minutes to get there, which wasn't bad at all. 2 hours of kayaking (the minimum I think) was plenty, and we are all in decent shape. We rented tandems (2 people per boat). They offer guided tours but we just went on our own and were fine. Heavily wooded, but no bugs! Be sure to book ahead of time to be sure they have the boats you want, and also take their phone number with you. They are literally under the bridge like they tell you, but we still needed them to guide us there. Angie (who worked the desk) was very nice. They give you a container to keep things dry, so be sure to take a camera. We had 9 AM reservations, got off the river, ate lunch in downtown Conway (Carolina Skillet - casual food - very good, and fast service), and were back on the beach by 1 PM!
