Our 2 1/2 year old grandson is joining us next week. Are there any good playgrounds around? Anything around Market Commons? I figure I'll send my son and d-i-l to the movies and take the little one for a while.

Market Common has a nice play area for kids, and there's also one at Broadway at the Beach too.

Garden City has a small park with play equipment. Our friends take their grandchildren there often because it also has a pier:

And don't forget Huntington Beach State Park and Myrtle Beach State Park. Both are kid-friendly!

There's a little playground next to the Surfside branch of the public library. It's even in the shade! There are also tennis courts there.

Don't forget Chapin Park across from the K Mart around 1400N. King's Hwy. Our kids always liked it. And........we became grandparents on March 10th. Grandbaby Alexis was born up in Maryland. They may come down in early September and bring her.
