Husband is determined to have a hot tub Under The Tree by Christmas Eve. He was very disappointed this morning. We went to pick up "his" tub, - it had been sold, accidentally, or so they said. We were reimbursed, but I told husband not to worry, I will check the Myrtle Beach area & since it is a warmer climate, maybe I will luck out & find one cheaper. He wants a SpaCrest (Vision), will settle for a Jacuzzi 400 series. We will settle for last year's models for a better deal. Hot tubs are more his thing than mine, so any direction/guidance as to where to shop in MB would be helpful. With the economy, maybe I should check a pawn shop??!!

I found a form for the Spa Crest Vision hot tubs, but they are asking for more information than I want to part with. Seems like you should be able to find locations without giving them your history.

Jucuzzi is a little more forthcoming:

Click on the 400 Collection, then on Locate a Dealer. You'll find:

BACKYARD RETREATS OF MYRTLE BEACH
843-357-2239
11534 Hwy. 17S Bypass
Murrells Inlet, SC 29576

I've passed that place a million times on my way to Inlet Square Mall, but have not been inside.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you find anything.

To all who have asked, ... we visited two shops, Elko & Graves. Elko is on 17 Bypass south of Carolina Coastal Mall and Graves is off of Dick Pond Road (??) While Graves has one similar to what my husband wants, there was something about Elko that attracted me to their products. They were by far the cheapest dealer and the sales lady went out of her way to find us a dealer in our "district". Each dealer told us if we purchased out of our area, we would void the service warranty, (not the product warranty) & would have to pay our dealer a service trip fee if they ever needed to come out. After returning home, we learned our dealer had closed up their doors over the weekend (are we receiving a sign not to buy?) Figuring we would probably now have to pay the next closest dealer a service trip fee anyway, I made an agreement w/ the spouse. In March, a town near us will be having their annual pool/tub expo. If we find something there affordable we will purchase locally, if not, we return to MB & buy. Tubs in MB are running just about 1/2 price from where we live. That's a lot of service trip fees & if the tub requires that many service trips, then I'll sell it at the yardsale.

Graves also does pools.

Elko also sells billiard tables & accessories.

Just curious if you ever looked at a used one?? My brother did this and found one that was half the price and in excellent shape. He has had it for about 4 years now and has not had one issue.

We have, but spouse's desire for latest technology seems to only be found in the 2009 models. If this was 2010, I would look on eBay, but I am certain he is not going to wait 'til this spring, much less 2010.

Thanks for the suggestion.
