Has anyone ever been to the Children's mseum in Myrtle Beach? We will be travelling with an 18 month old and a three year old and were wondering if there is anything there of interest to them, or would it be too old for them? Thanks!

Also, if anyone has any other suggestions the boys may like, I'd love tp hear them. Last year Brett was only 6 months, so he just went along for the ride, so this is our first trip to include childrens activities.

Try a search on this, or look further into the listings. I know Katie did an extensive review of this, with pictures, when she took her kids.

We took our oldest, Kyle (now 16) when he was about 4 or 5 and it was great. I'm pretty sure your kids (and you) will love it.

EDIT - Okay, I just took my own advice and I didn't find Katie's post. It must have been deleted.

Here are more museum pictures from 2006 and 2007. There is something for every child age... even infants. I would recommend it. It's also fairly inexpensive. My kids have loved this museum for the past 3 years we've lived here. Kylie was about 8 months when we moved to Myrtle Beach, and there have always been many things for her to do.

2501 North Kings Highway
Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

They are directly across the street from the Sheraton Convention Center. I believe it's $7 per person, and kids under 1 are free.

We went to the Children's Museum today. It was Dr. Suess Whoville Day (in honor of his birthday this month). There is always some type of fun event going on at the museum, and we keep their calendar on our fridge. We had a blast. Having a season pass here is so worth it for locals with children. We can have an entirely free family day whenever we want (which is helpful in this economy!). The other option for a free family day is obviously the beach, but it was only 58 degrees today! (ouch!) We decided to stay inside in the warmth

Here are some pictures...

We took our two year old grandson to the South Carolina Children's Museum while we were down there a few weeks ago. It was a little hard to find. It's on the non-beach side of Kings Highway. He really enjoyed it. He could put his hands on and play with everything and there were alot of things to do. We spent about 2 hours in there. I'm pretty sure it cost $8 per person (including our 2 year old grandson), but it was definately worth the money. We will visit there again next year!
