Can anyone tell me if the front rows in the Palace Theater are level with the stage, or do you have to look up?

I'm specifically thinking of the Grande Cirque show. If the front row seats (which are open for the dates in August that we'd want) are down low and you have to look up at the stage, I'm thinking that it would be better to go back a few rows, even to the next section of less expensive seats.

What do y'all think?

I've been on the phone with a very nice lady at the Palace box office. You can view the front rows by clicking "House Seating Plan" from this link.....
http://www.palacetheatremyrtlebeach.com ... rts_01.htm

The rows that are usually saved for VIPs (in red) will be available for many of the Le Grande Cirque shows, and I assume that is what you're asking about. The stage is 3.5 feet above the floor where the red seats are shown. She suggests seats about half way back in the red section. She said that a lot of this show is ariel, and you will be able to see it just fine from those seats. She told me she prefers the first or second row closest to the stage only when there are individual performers that she wants to view up close.

If that doesn't answer your questions, here's the toll-free number:

Yes, as Patrish said, the stage is a few feet higher than the floor, so you might have to crane your neck to see.

Our favorite seats are on the front row of the Mezanine (sp?). You get the "front row" feeling because you're significantly higher than the main floor, although farther away from the stage.

Thanks, Patrish and Betsy

Patrish, I had checked out that link from another thread and although it showed where the seats were in relation to distance from the stage it didn't show the "neck soreness quotient" involved in sitting right in front of the stage. Thanks for calling the "very nice lady" at the box office. :)

Betsy, from the mezzanine, are the performers tiny, or can you still see well? Remember, my eyes are much older than yours ( ) and sometimes focusing from a distance can be a challenge.

I wouldn't say they're tiny...but you know your eyes better. :)

Hi Dawne we went last August and sat 3rd row center. I cant tell you what great seats they were. no neck cramps . Alot of the show is a mime its better to be closer to see what hes doing. My two teenagers were refusing to go But I told them if you dont like it you can walk over to BATB and they liked it more than the younger ones. Enjoy its a great show. Judy

S is closer to the stage, but not by much. The upper mezzaine puts you further away, but you should have a better view of the stage. You might ask the person from whom you buy the tickets to give you their recommendation (unless you ordered them through the Internet.)

We ended up going to the theater for the Thursday matinee. We sat dead center..row O...Great Seats! But, honestly, unless you're WAY back, I think most of the seats in the Palace theater would be fine...The show was FABULOUS!

This i a great show even though we only got to see an hour of it.The electricity went out an hour into the show and they ended up canceling the rest of it.We were refunded our money. We could have had tickets for the next night but we already had plans for the next night.I will definatly go back on the next trip.
