Please let us know if you hear from Chucks. A chip of glass in the soup is beyond dangerous and might have involved a trip to the hospital. At the very least, your meal should have been free.

My email and Chucks reply Names removed.
Mr.

Let me start off by saying to your son, on behalf of the staff and management at Chuck’s, please accept our apology. We are all so relieved to know that you were not injured.

The incident is unacceptable on several levels. A piece or shard of anything is unacceptable, as well as the fact that once we were informed, we did not see the opportunity to do something about this immediately. We will be addressing this issue at our employee meeting today.

Please contact us at ChucksSteakHouse@sc.rr.com and provide us with your mailing address. We would like to send you a gift card for your next visit to Chuck’s.

Thank you for contacting us regarding your experience but more importantly thank you for your 20 years of patronage. We appreciate it.

David Adams

Have been a Chucks customer for over 20 year's and this is the first occasion that I have to complain. Friday night 7 pm we were seated on the upper deck and my son found a chip of glass in his baked onion soup he handed it to our waitress who handed it to a waiter who said that's not good. The waitress did not even offer to replace the soup which obviously could not be eaten. I find a glass chip in soup to be very disturbing especially since he found it when he bit it. Just expressing my concerns. Bill

Chuck's Steak House - 9695 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572 - http://www.chuckssteakhousemb.com/

It's been a long time since my parents and I have eaten at this restaurant. We were hungry and in the area, so we decided to give them a try. I have to say that the parking lot is a bit of a nightmare. It's always crowded and you often have to drive around several times to find a parking spot. Then again, we caught the tail end of the early bird crowd, so the place was packed. Any time you drive by, the parking lot will be full!

We were seated immediately at a table in front of the salad bar. The spot was fine and there was plenty of room between the line for the salad bar and our table. One minor difficulty we had was that the floor was brick or some kind of concrete with divots. It was so hard to get up out of the chairs because the wooden legs would get caught in the divots. We probably looked so silly trying to scoot our chairs out and in, lol. Our server came to our table quickly and took our drink and food order. We all opted for the salad bar. I love a salad bar! It's small, but I liked what they had offered and everything was fresh. The salad plates were soaking wet though. I had to dry mine off with a napkin from our table before I put any food on it. We all enjoyed our salads. A little while after we finished our salads, our food came out. My dad ordered the Filet Mignon with rice. My dad scarfed down his filet. He liked the rice as well. My mom ordered the Prime rib and baked potato. My mom thought her prime rib was just okay. She left more than half on her plate. Our server must have noticed because he asked her if she wanted a box to take it home. She declined. She liked her baked potato. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with rice. I loved it! The burger was so juicy and was full of flavor. It's probably one of the best burgers I've had in Myrtle Beach. I also ordered a side of rice, which I enjoyed. We also ordered desserts, which were divine! Overall, two out of the three enjoyed our meals.

21 years I have been going to MB. 21 years I have been intimate with the internet. Chuck's is one of the 1st places I ever found and researched on the "internet". Still have those '96 print outs in a dresser drawer and even though they are in b/w, drool over them in the middle of each January!

So, how is it, 21 years later, I still have not eaten at Chucks when I have more than sampled other restaurants? It is not like Chuck's is 100 miles upstream with strong currents. Nope, not the parking either. I do not have an excuse. My next post on this forum should be of Chuck's w/ photos of dripping juices, perfect marbling, servers who truly own your dining experience and doggy bags bursting at the seam. After all, the "baby" waiting patiently behind must fully understand and appreciate why s/he was left longer than the promised few minutes.

The last time I went to Chuck's was probably not long after you made those print outs. We started staying on the south end and rarely eat up that way anymore. I remember going there when I was a kid and that was many years ago. Everything that I have read still says that it is a good meal. Has to be to stay open as long as they have.

My husbands work friend ate there at the beginning of July and they are the pickiest eaters and they loved it. He called as they were leaving to tell us about it and to check out the website. So we told our neighbors who were there and they loved it too. So it has made our list this year!! We are trying to eat places we haven't before!

Chuck's | 9695 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572 | http://www.chuckssteakhousemb.com/menu

Image
Sirloin Steak (7 ounce aged sirloin steak) with a baked potato from the Early Bird Menu (4-6:30pm daily) - Steak was overcooked and tough. Baked potato was good.

Image
10 ounce Filet Mignon steak with a baked potato - Dad loved his steak. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. He enjoyed the baked potato, but it looked like part of the middle of the potato had been scooped out already.

Image
10 ounce Bacon Cheeseburger (2 strips of bacon, American cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion) with fries - enjoyed my burger, but it could have been seasoned a bit more. I asked for my burger medium and it came back well done. I also received a ton of onion as well. That was no big deal, I just removed most of it. The fries were hot and crispy.

We ate here on a Tuesday in October around 5:30pm. The parking lot was pretty crowded. We were seated right away in a corner table far from most of the crowd. Our server came over immediately to take our drink orders and let us look over the menu. We all opted for the salad bar. We love the salad bar here. It's a bit on the small side, but they offer quite a selection for your salad. Everything is always fresh. The only minor complaint is that it's hard to reach some of the items in the back. You almost have to press your face to the sneeze guard or go under and lean over the food, which I saw some people doing. Service was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. We never had to ask for refills. Overall, my dad and I would definitely return. I'd just make sure they cook my burger the way I want. I don't think my mom is too fond of the restaurant anymore. We came here last year and her steak wasn't to her liking either. Perhaps if we come back, she'll order something different.

It's neat how they have a block of cheese sitting there for you eat. I may go back to this place in August.

Thank you for the heavenly photos. I have yet to sample Chucks. The only dinner we have recently dined out was at Hard Rock for my birthday. All other dinners have been prepared from scratch by me in the kitchen of the hotel room.
