We had our trip scheduled for September right before the hurricane was supposed to hit. Because of all of the uncertainty and family who were flying in to meet us we all decided to cancel. We were crushed but kept telling ourselves we made the right decision. As it turned out we could have gone.

We rescheduled our trip for the first week we were able to get away and it wasn't until November. It won't be the same and family won't be able to meet us there, but we're still so excited to go. I'm going to miss the heat, but I could sit in my room in a snow storm, looking at the ocean and be happy. (Oh great, I probably just jinxed us!)

We're going to have the pups (that we don't leave alone in the room) with us so our usual outdoor dining might be a problem. We are looking forward to seeing our favorite place at a different time of the year and know we'll have a great time no matter what!

Sounds like you'll be regulated to dinner in your room for the week. I can't think of any places that allow pets that aren't service animals.

I am sorry your vacation didn't turn out the way you hoped, but I like your attitude. Nov, is an iffy month, but we sometimes have warm comfortable days especially toward the first of the month. Bring clothes that you can layer.

Here is a link to my pet friendly web page. About halfway down this page, you will see a list of restaurants that accept pets. ALL of these locations offer patio/outdoor dining. But I have seen many of these restaurants that stay open year round. Some have those gas lamps/heaters. You will want to call ahead.

Best wishes, and we'll look forward to hearing bout your vacation!

GREAT info! Thanks Patrish!! Remember all the dogs on the patio when we went to eat at T-Bonz in May with you? It was adorable! I see Barefoot Landing is pet friendly as well. Nice to know you can walk the area and then get a bite at one of the pet friendly eateries there! Now that we travel with Dixie Belle this info helps a lot! Thanks!

Thanks Patrish. I am so grateful for all you do. Your pet friendly page has proven invaluable to me over the years. I so appreciate all the great info you provide for us.

Emmy, thank you for the info about Barefoot Landing. It's kind of a haul from where we stay, but it might be worth a trip up there.

Budwash435, we usually eat our big meal at lunch so we hope to find some places serving outside. We generally eat leftovers for dinner or go to the beach bar next door. Our two ornery girls could never be confused with service animals, lol.
