I thought I posted this, but I guess not. We had to go a week early this year due to some work issues. My brother, daughter, girlfriend, and I will be departing our home Monday August 7th around noon, stopping somewhere in NC, then finishing our trip, getting to MB early August August 8th and staying at Beach Cove. We did this last year and got an extra day at the beach which is cool because staying inland we don't get to the beach everyday like we used to.

Not too long and you will be at the beach. Getting into the timeframe where the excitement really begins. Looking forward to reading a trip report.

pre trip is indeed one of the best parts. We still have to decide which car we're taking.

Getting excited about the pre-trip prolongs the trip. Vacation wouldn't be nearly as fun if all I could look forward to was the 7 days at the beach. I swear, those 7 days go by faster than any week of the year.

That it does. We extended ours just for that reason. We used to just drive straight thought, but since I have a 2 year old now we usually do 3/4 day one, then wake up and get a full day at the beach before the rest of our party arrives.

I booked our room at the Beach Cove in NMB which we'll be staying in next Tuesday night. I'm not super stoked on this place, the outside looks nice but most of the pics I saw online of the rooms like run down and old hotel style. We'll see how it goes.

After an oil change, new wipers, new battery, new brakes, and a cleaning my car is good to go today at 1pm.

Safe travels. Hopefully it doesn't rain on the way down . It's a bummer not to drive a nice clean vehicle to the beach. I think for the first time ever I actually just wiped mine with one of those armour all carwash wipes this year. It rained the whole day that we packed and started again within ten miles of leaving the house. Hoping much better for you guys.
