Broadway had a peak about a decade ago and now it is correcting itself. Golf courses were developed at a crazy rate that wasn't sustainable. After the pavilion left there was big plans for the boardwalk and it just didn't take off for a number of reasons. That area of MB just can't get over the stigma of not being "safe". Read some main travel boards and it is a common suggestion to pretty much avoid that area.

Broadway, like always , will have some changes. I know that Hard Rock Cafe moved to a smaller space. The pyramid is repurposed for something else. I'm sure some new restaurants have replaced many of the ones that close every year. I really can't see where it has much potential for growth. Shopping is good. Already have a few water parks. Plenty of putt putt. Too much golf. Plenty of food choices. I don't know where the growth is. I'm sure some big investment will eventually come.

We are looking forward to the new stores opening up by Publix in North Myrtle Beach. Burlington Coat Factory and Burkes just to mention a few. That has become quite a nice little shopping area with several little eating establishments too.

We never heard of Aldi before we read that they were getting ready to build here. So when we were in Asheville around Christmas (visiting my brother) we took a tour of the store there.

Since we don't have a Trader Joe's (nearest is Mt. Pleasant or Wilmington) I look forward to Aldi coming to the Grand Strand.

As always, Patrish has more info than anyone else. But I did find a "what's new" video from the Chamber of Commerce that shows video of a few of the things she mentioned.

Aldis are neat grocery stores. Cash only if I am not mistaken. You bring bags or pay for bags if you want to bag your groceries. 25 cents to borrow a buggy but you get it back when you put it up also.
