Okay I just remembered when my parents lived down in MB for 3/4 of the year my Dad would ALWAYS start his cold weather vegetable garden in February! So, that means the sun was warm and the ground was soft! The plants we plant here in April were already in the ground down there in Feb!

We have been up there a few times in December. Around the holidays and frankly the weather is not a lot different than Houston. The ocean has a moderating effect on the temps. Some days are Jacket weather not coat.....jacket) some are T-Shirt weather. Most evenings a hoodie will suffice. You will get the occasional cold day and night but nothing like NY (I grew up in the Hudson Valley).

And if you play it is great golf weather.

Another good thing about January and February is many of the restaurants have great specials, some days it is cheaper to eat out than stay at home, BOGO, 50% off second meal, free meal on return visit and such. They are just trying to keep the restaurant going thru the winter months.
