Carolina Roadhouse

Sounds crazy, but Carolina Roadhouse is a huge reason we return to MB now we don't have kids traveling with us. Along with their croissants and house salads, the Prime Rib is AMAZING (and priced right... not cheap, but very fair). We just took my sister to our local Chart House which supposedly has great Prime Rib.... no comparison.

I hear CRs other food items are tasty also, but I can't recall ordering anything but Prime Rib ! We ask for the biggest cut (they actually don't list it on the menu) and is still awesome the next day for steak-n-eggs. Can probably get 3 meals out of it !

Call ahead for preferred seating (or whatever they call it) if visiting during busy times.... Enjoy !

Looks like I'll have to add it to the list and hopefully check it out in August.

I agree. Carolina Roadhouse is one of our favorite places to eat in MB.

One of the best. Never had a bad meal there.

Tim, we have not been there, but I'm looking forward to hearing some local reviews about it. It seems to be another "fine dining" experience and I often wonder how many Italian restaurants in that category can thrive in the Grand Strand. Several have passed the test of time however, and I wish them well.

Any place new where the locals have been going that may have escaped my visitation?

I got a local tip for Driftwoods years ago from Gary. It's getting pretty good reviews on trip advisor right now and lots of people on their forums mention going there. I think the secret is out and the waits continue to get longer every year. Hard to believe it's getting popular considering it's in a strip mall on a lightly traveled road.

I looked through this a few days ago to find some new places we may have missed over the years. It's crazy this post is 4 years old.

I figured I'd give this post a bump since we're in vacation season.

Glad you bumped it up. Funny how my thoughts have changed only in a couple of years. Was funny how I said that Carolina Roadhouse had been so great and then we have a terrible meal that exact year and quit going.
My favorite local recommendations were Driftwoods, Prosser's, and Maggie D's (thanks for that one Patrish).

I am looking forward to trying Blueberry's Grill for breakfast. Has anyone checked it out?

I gave the Carolina Roadhouse a shot 2 years ago. It was good, not great..nothing worth going back over unless I couldn't find somewhere else to go.

My parents and I ate there last October for the first time. We really enjoyed it. Here's my review of it: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=16230

We've been to Blueberry's twice. The first time due to Lia's (Sun Wind Sand) photos and review . The 2nd because we loved it the first time.

Have they they oped in BF Landing yet?

I read where LuLu is now open ...owned by Jimmy Buffet' sister LuLu.

Here's more news about BF Landing:
