We chose the Vancouver as an add-on to our regular stay. When I researched the place it had mostly positive reviews and there was pretty big gap between the price of this place ($110 nightly in Mid-June) and hotels with similar reviews (mostly $150+). We basically just required a clean place to lay our heads down and preferred it to be oceanfront. The furniture in the room was not that old. They have put in all tile floors in, which I prefer. The rooms we had came with a full size fridge which looked to have been purchased recently. Sink, kitchen cabinets, and stove were a little older, but all in working condition. The bathrooms were clean but had not been updated. Housekeeping does a wonderful job. Tile floors were mopped daily. Staff was friendly. Outside walkways had an all purpose carpet that looked to be fairly new and you could tell that it was vacuumed daily.

The hotel turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. It's hard to find a clean place to stay in the price range that we paid during peak season. It is located next to nice properties and is in a location of MB that I like. I did take a picture of the room on my phone, but have no clue on how to link it to this page.

Thanks for the write-up. After reading hundreds of trip reports over the years, I don't recall the Vancouver being mentioned. Sounds like a solid, lower-cost alternative.

I had never heard of the place either. It was a great add a day place and if you didn't want to spend a bunch on rooms it would work for longer. It will be our go to for extended stays.

Saving money on hotels is just more money for beer. Good find.
