Looking to go from 27 ave s MB to Cherry Grove. Looks like picking up 31 would be the quickest. Where would be the best place to get on it? Or do you think just going up 17 would be the best?

Best route I can figure is to take Harrelson Blvd to the bypass. Then take the Grissom Parkway exit to 31 and follow that to the Robert Edge Parkway then back to 17. Of course, it depends on traffic as to how long it will take you. 31 is great but it's too damn far away from the coast to get to and it meanders too much rather than being fairly straight.

Thanks phroggy it does look kind of far away from the beach. We haven't stayed that far south in probably 20 years. Of course the year we stay south my sister in law decides to move to cherry grove. Since we'll be there in Sept I'll probably just stick to 17 bypass.

I still do it the old fashioned way....17 bypass merges w/ 17 bus and keeps on truckin'. I've tried at least three different ways and decided it didn't save that much time. Besides, my car knows this "scenic route" and it always likes to pull into Tanger and Myrtle Beach Mall on its way up north.

The fastest way is 31 to Cherry Grove from the south end, even in September.

From 27th S go a few blocks north on 17 biz and take a left on Harrelson Blvd,
take it and continue past 17 Bypass, go straight until you come to Hwy 501, now head north on 501 to 31 and take it all the way to the end, Hwy 9, go over the waterway and your in Cherry Grove area.

Ah Patrish, there are some days, when I am not in a hurry, that I do take the slow route, even drive along the Blvd.

And in this heat, it's 103 right now with the heat index, I don't ride with the top
down :)
