Most of you know I am learning to use a cell with Internet. My apologies if this is the wrong place for this question or a dumb one. But I keep having something pop up everytime I come here called "taptalk". I know it's an app but is it for this board only or what? Does anyone else use it?

A few people requested the app, so when I did the forum update for Patrish I installed it.

The app can be used for any forum that uses the app.

I personally don't use the app, but I know some prefer how the forums look on their mobile devices using the app. It also makes posting easier.

Hope that helps! :beerchug:

Wally and I both have the app on our iPhones. (It's free.)

I just started using it on my Galaxy 3. Seems to work well. It is a little slow loading new posts but it is easier to read and post to the board

Another reason to thank Melissa for all she does to keep this board up to date. :beerchug:

Wally and I were shopping at Coastal Grand Mall tonight, and our cell phones kept ringing. I said "Remember the good old days when an answering machine at home used to take calls for us when we were out? It was almost like having a social secretary, and we dealt with whatever it was when we got home."

Now I'm in the dressing room at Dillards and my phone rings. My pants are on the floor and the phone in the pocket. I'm trying to squeeze into a dress that's 75% off. I can't get to the phone because the zipper is stuck and I'm jumping up and down, tugging at the zipper when whoever was calling hangs up.

I love my iPhone, but life was easier in the good old days.

LOL @ Patrish

I don't travel anywhere without my iPhone but I keep the ringer off. I have the vibrate on and it's set that the LED flashes for my notifications and if the phone rings. I can choose if I want to answer it or not and if I'm going to ignore it, it's not going to bother others around.

Yes, I have an iPhone and I'm addicted

We got our first iPhones this year, and I downloaded the TapaTalk app. I didn't really use it until we went on vacation this year. Since we have smart phones, we stopped taking our laptop with us. I logged onto TapaTalk, and it works great so I'm using it much more often now. So thank you to Melissa!

My tapatalk quit working and I ended up having to delete it. It was free but I don't remember which one it was. Can someone post the info for me please?

I looked at the settings on my Ap, and is says: Tapatalk V2.7.1

I hope that helps. I like using Tapatalk when I'm away from my computer (especially when we are at the beach and I need to quickly find some info that one of our great members has posted).

On an iPhone , just open App Store > search for Tapatalk, should be the first one that comes up. I'd imagine it's the same in Google Play store for an Android.

Hopefully with some help From my buddies on the forum I am back in business. It keeps saying tapatalk has expired and notify the administrator. A glitch?!

Lou, I get the same expiration notice, but everything works. It's probably just a reminder for the admin here (Patrish) to update to the newest version, but it doesn't seem to be necessary since we can get on from Tapatalk.
