Hope you will post about your experiences. As I was saying to the message board members who came to the 2nd Ave. Pier meetup, we really need more people posting about their golfing adventures!

That's an ambitious schedule! You're playing more in one week than I've played all year. Please post some reviews when you get back!

I'm a bit tired but what a great week. We ended up with 14 players.

- 3 NJ
- 5 PA
- 2 MN
- 2 TX
- 1 KY
- 1 VA

We stay at the Breaker Paradise Tower in the X/Y 3 br rooms. Gloria is the golf director and always does a fantastic job for us! She is so wonderful in putting together our package.

We also run a better ball of partners tournament.... We blind draw A/B teams. They don't always play together but we have spreadsheets to figure everything out. We also have special MB handicaps because some guys don't have USGA handicaps. So we base the handicaps on 25 years experience. I adjust them daily depending on their play according to 1 of 5 formulas I've developed. They must work because after 6 rounds there was 1 stroke between the 1st 4 places (369, 370, 371, 372) then ate for 5th at 379.

We landed around 11:00 on the 12th and picked up a round at Myrtlewood Palmetto course. It was in pretty good shape and a great 1st day course. We were able to rally up 12 of us for this unscheduled warm-up round. Plus we had 1 friend of a friend from Deertrack and another friend from FLA join us. Kind of cool picking up friends who just happen to be in the area as guest players.

Sun Oct 13, 2013 12:30 PM - 12:57 PM 16 Golfers Caledonia
The guy from Florida was scheduled to go home today but when he heard we were playing Caledonia he changed his plans! What can I say? This is one, if not THE, nicest place to play in MB. Great conditions, nice people, pleasant course. We try to rotate this with True Blue. BTW - after this round our Florida friend asked to join the group next year!

Mon Oct 14, 2013 9:07 AM - 9:34 AM 16 Golfers Wild Wing Avocet
Haven't played Wild Wing in several years since they downsized. The place was empty! The course was very good. Good conditions.... Med-fast greens. Overall a nice experience. The guys asked to return next year.

Tue Oct 15, 2013 12:20 PM - 12:50 PM 16 Golfers The Resort Club At Grande Dunes
We've played this a few years ago then switched to the Members Club now back at the resort course. The Resort course is every bit as goof as the Members Club. Great conditions! Fast and smooth greens... Fantastic par 3s.... Holes along the inland waterway... Really nice views. Again.... The staff was very nice to us... We will switch back and forth between these courses yearly.

Wed Oct 16, 2013 9:03 AM - 9:30 AM 16 Golfers Pine Lakes
The Granddaddy! We've played here off and on for 25 years. The architect, Robert White, is also the architect on Harkers Hollow in NJ 5 of us belonged to when it was one of the best private clubs in NJ. We miss the chowder, plus fours, and the Rolls Royce carts but he renovations work for us. The Greene look funky with black specks that one guy likened to indoor/outdoor carpet but the rolled well at a medium speed. We will keep this on a 3 year rotation.

Thu Oct 17, 2013 12:40 PM - 1:10 PM 16 Golfers Dunes Golf and Beach
One of our favorite courses! Again treated like we were members! Nice place, great course, lots of history and pictures displayed in the club house, lots of nice views (especially sitting outside the 19th!), great layout and conditions. The only problem are the new greens. They are lightning fast! Smooth?, but too hard to hold shots coming in.... We're going to give the greens a couple years to soften up. We will sub in TPC next year.

Fri Oct 18, 2013 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM 16 Golfers Tigers Eye
This was the final day of the tournament. Very nice shortish from the whites. Whites gave up 1000 yards to the senior tees. Definitely a course to score on! Green were fast but not lightning... They held shots... Everyone wants to repeat this next year....btw lunch included!

Sat Oct 19, 2013 8:52 AM - 9:16 AM 16 Golfers Oyster Bay
We've played here many times. Lots of views and interesting holes. Course was in very good conditions. Par 3s can play a little long. Unfortunately we only got 8 holes in before the rain made the course unplayable. Usually we just throw on our Gortex and rain gloves and carry on but the green were puddling and the course was unplayable. So we all went in for our included lunch. Btw we had another guest here - a guy from Silver Creek in PA. When Harkers went under then public a bunch of us joined Silver Creek. This guy moved to Wilmington. 2 years ago so it was a nice reunion...

From here many sad goodbye until next year and they drove home. Some of us returned to the Breakers to kill time until going to the airport. Btw. mB did a great job on that airport! Very impressive
