Sharkey's Beach Bar
6th Ave. N. Ocean Blvd.

We noticed new construction as we ere driving on N. Ocean Blvd. It was eye-catching, so we decided to check it out.

There's a big parking lot, owned by Sharkey's, and also a City-run parking (meters) on the other side.

All we had was a glass of Pinot Grigio, so I can' tell you anything about the food or or other beverages.

Sharkey's had opened only the day before we got there, so they didn't have a website, menu, or Happy Hour specials. And were accepting only cash since their credit card machines had not been set up.

The girl who took our order was cute and perky. She smiled a lot and was happy to tell us about this new venture. She seemed perfect for the job.

I know many of you search for oceanfront bars, so you may want to check this one out. It has the bonus of a Boardwalk view, too!

Wow!! That's great! I love any place you can eat, and not lose sight of the ocean! May need to visit here!

I am confused (as usual). I believe there has been a Sharkey's around that location for a couple of years. We have eaten there once or twice. Food never seems their top priority. Location is great. The times we have been there in October they place has beeen deserted. Have they done a major remodel or is there another Sharkey's near the one we visited? I believe there is another location at Broadway. Thank you for your review and photos.

You might be right. I found 4 different facebook pages and one is dating back to 2009.

Regardless, it looks great Patrish. Thanks for the review and pictures!

I don't know. :dontknow:

We were told this was built on an empty lot. It does look all new, but there are similarities to what I'm seeing in the links Melissa provided!

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure I saw a Sharkeys on my morning walks in that area last September. However, I remember it from the street side. I am fairly certain there were not an tables on the boardwalk/ocean side. I took several pics I will investigate.

if memory serves, this is right next to the bay view hotel, about 4 blocks from the old pavillion site. We stopped in there last year for a drink while walking the boardwalk area. They probably had to close for the renovations because it was only one level last year. The new level looks very nice.

I stayed in the Bayview back in 2009 and this place was being built then! So yes, I think this one has been there for a little bit.

It has been there for a number of years and has had tables outside facing the Boardwalk.

The Sharky's at Broadway did not last long, it is now Chuck and Ducks.
