The Grumpy Monk is located across the highway from Tanger Outlet Mall on 501, Myrtle Beach. According to ‘The Surge Magazine’ it is “Happy Hour Heaven.” So on 3/3/16 we decided to give it a try.

Happy Hpur is celebrated from 4-7 PM every day, including Sunday. You can find the Happy Hour Menu Here:

Wally and I shared the Southwest Spring Rolls ($5.50) and the Zippy shrimp ($5.50.) Both were very good. There were about 8 shrimp, and if I closed my eyes, I could believe I was at Bonefish Grill, enjoying their signature “Bang Bang Shrimp” because the taste was so similar. See photos

Our friend ordered the 12 white wine garlic butter sauce Fresh Clams ($6.50.) See photo.

I ordered a glass of wine, Happy Hour priced at $3. and Wally enjoyed a 16 oz. “Whiite Dragon Milk” Beer from New Holland which he ordered after tasting it. ($4.25)

our waiter was very attentive and stopped by our table often to inquire about our food and to ask if we needed anything else.

The Grumpy Monk is a great choice for Happy Hour, and we would certainly go back! It’s a very good value value for the money.
