Hello! I am a freelancer and since I can work anywhere I've decided to ditch winter up north and look into a furnished short-term rental to spend a few months working from the beach.

Can anyone recommend resources to find a furnished 3-6 month rental?

Thanks!

As a starting point, try http://www.realtor.com/rentals to get an idea on what is available for the price-points you are interested in. Has some good filters, but doesn't look like "furnished" is one of them.....

Good Luck, it's great to work from anywhere ! :nanner:

Thanks, Kirk! Hello, Writer, and welcome back!

I found the following links for short term rentals. Do you have a price estimate in mind? Or do you prefer a certain area? Look over the links including the one Kirk suggested and hopefully you will be able to narrow down whatever your budget and location preferences allow. If you need help identifying an area (do I REALLY want to live in an apartment from CraigsList named Sleeze at the Beach?) just let us know.

We rent a fully furnished condo on the ocean for 3 months in the winter. Most real estate offices have a list of "winter rentals." They have reduced rates on condos from October-March. They are also available on VRBO. You would be surprised at the rates if you have never checked it out. Hope this helps.

Hello all! I posted this last summer but didn't end up moving.
I am now looking to spend 3-4 months working at my freelance job in Myrtle Beach.

I would be in the area from April - July or August (I know, the most expensive time to rent, I'm sure!)

It's just me, so I am looking for a small furnished short term rental. I am searching a few reputable sites, but wondered if any locals has a rental agent or other source they really trust or recommend.

I would prefer to be in Myrtle Beach or North Myrtle Beach (rather than further south in Surfside, Garden City, etcetera.)

Have you looked at Myrtle Beach Resort?

We used to know the managers who have now retired. I have been in several of the units, and of course some are much nicer than others. (As the old adage goes, you get what you pay for.)

As Christine suggested earlier, be sure to check VRBO.com
