Anyone have opinions on the various home neighborhoods in Little River. We are a retired couple, play golf, hubby bowls, have wintered in MB for a few winters. This winter we're staying at a Barefoot Resort condo and are thinking we might do some real estate looking. As we currently live in a townhouse, we're thinking we might prefer a 1200-1500 sq ft use but one with an HOA so we don't have to do yard work.

Price range would be $100K to $200, 2-3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, garage, screened porch/lanai, not to terribly far from the water but within 2-6 miles would be good. There are so many nice looking neighborhoods but it's difficult to know if there are lots of foreclosures or short sales which we'd most likely want to avoid. Also, doesn't have to be over 55 but is OK if it is. Just some names would be so welcome. :wav:

Gail, I'm sorry you have not received any responses.....and I can't help you with the Little Rive area.

BUT.....if you decide to consider Myrtle Beach, we moved to an area near The Market Common (Withers Preserve) 4 years ago, after living in the SouthWood development behind Wicked Stick Golf Course (1997-2009.) We absolutely love it here! We are close enough to walk to The Market Common and only 2 miles to the entrance to Myrtle Beach State park.

There has been a lot of new construction in this area recently, so here are several new developments that might be of interest to you:

Or contact my husband, Wally Snider, for information on any of the above locations at (843)267-2000.

Thank you for all the information, I'll check it out for sure. Maybe this winter, we'll go looking at properties.
