Great point about the length of each rally, Mike. Of course, if I said what I REALLY think about the whole situation, I'd be publicly criticized but privately commended. So I'll just let my freedom of speech rest on this topic.

Good points, Mike! And I think almost everyone would agree that Harley bike week is not the problem.

But nothing has been or will be accomplished without implementing laws and enforcing them. That hasn't happened since we moved here, and probably way before that.

We've been in MB during both Atlantic Bike Week and Harley Fall Bike Week. Never again will we be in MB during Atlantic Bike Week. When you are in heavy traffic, behind gangs of bikers who are popping wheelies and drag racing each other between traffic lights, I can tell you, it's not a fun place to be. And I won't even get into the dress code...or lack there of. Some body parts are not supposed to be flapping in the wind for all to see. JMHO

Pedestrian safety and traffic management plans for the Atlantic Beach Memorial Day Bikefest are available at:

The site includes a map of the 23-mile extended loop, designed to keep traffic moving during peak hours.  The site’s goal is to get information out in advance of Bikefest so that visitors will be aware of the changes and know what to expect.  Horry County also offers a new mobile application that will give users real-time information about traffic congestion and the loop during the Memorial Day weekend.  Visit link below to download the app.
