I've been to Myrtle Beach about 6 times - But usually In August...
This year i'm looking at taking a quick weekend get away in May - But
the weekend i'm looking at looks to be the BIKE WEEK @ Myrtle Beach.
I have nothing againist bikes, but does it get out of control?
Like super busy?

The best determination can be made if you provide the exact dates of your planned visit.

There are 2 separate events referred to as "Bike week" in May, which also present 2 completely different effects on the area - plus the activity in each also depends on what stage that event is in during your visit dates.

Here's a link to the two bike weeks in May:

No matter what the courts decide about the helmet law, there will not be many bikers in the City of Myrtle Beach which includes the Market Common. If you go up to North Myrtle Beach, you will probably see a lot of bikers.
