How about a meet-up at River City Cafe - Barefoot Landing on Wednesday, Sept. 23rd. at 6:30 PM. Patrish, Wally, Alan and Ruann I hope you can be there. We'd love to see anyone else who are local or vacationing. Everyone is welcome!

Well ok. Guess we might make it.
Been a long couple of weeks. Some family issues. Lots of debate if we would be making trip or not.

I was even trying to give/sell the booking to a friend but never heard back.
Pretty much settled into not going. Actually. (Hard to believe.) I was looking forward to just staying home and vegging for a week.
Today at 2:00 she texted me.
"Let's go...."

Sooooooo. Back to drawing board. Still had the reservation but had to re-book kennel, stop mail and few other loose ends. You know. Most of you spend weeks and months preparing for. We're doing it in about 12 hours.........
No big deal. Like preppers ready for the end of the world with their go bags......... We're always packed for the beach.
Beach bag of towels, sheet, sunscreen always packed and on shelf. Chairs hanging in garage. Lap top for trip report hasn't been moved since last trip. Hmmmmmm, Camera here somewhere. Phone charger, three pair of shorts, seven t-shirts and one pair of boxers......I'm ready......

Only drawback is no time to get toy car checked out for long trip. Would probably be ok but getting too old to spend 500 miles "What's that sound?" "You feel a vibration?"
So. Another trip for Clifford the big red truck.........

Ooooops....Sorry.

Glad you are going to make it. Like you, our trip was also up in the air until the last minute which is why I waited so long to plan a meet-up. Looking forward to seeing you. Safe travels.

And a fun time was had by all. We had a great time getting caught up since last year. Thanks Ruann, Alan, Vicki and Kay! Loved seeing everyone. Vicki, thanks for setting the time and place. It's a grand time of year to sit outside, and we even managed to dodge a rainstorm.
