I had dinner at The Boathouse this week with my cousin and her new husband who were in town for their honeymoon. It is on Hard Rock Parkway between Freestyle Music Park and the Holiday Inn West. The food and service were great. I had the French Dip sandwich and it was huge, my cousin had shrimp and fries and she took over half of it home, and her husband had "shrimp and grits" and it looked awesome! The Boathouse is directly on the Intracoastal Waterway and sitting on the outside deck gives a great view of passing boats and they had live music. I think this restraunt did great on all the important things such as atmosphere, service, food and price.

I would definitely recommend trying it, Lewie

Looks good! We might have to try that next trip. I love a good french dip and DH would like the build-your-own burger. Thanks for the review!

Lots of French Dip fans here!! Thought I'd share - we went to Applebee's last night for dinner and I ordered their new (or newer, new since we've last been) French Dip Sliders - very good!

This sounds like one for my Restaurant list. I'll have to check out the website.

:off-topic:

For you french dip lovers...if by chance your favorite MB restaurant is too busy, bop into Outback. They have a roasted filet sandwich with melted Provolone cheese and garlic herb aioli on toasted foccacia bread. Served with a side of au jus for dipping. Yumalicious! My husband ordered it and I turned around to help my daughter with her napkin and it was gone, devoured...inhaled with lightning speed!

Checking to see if there are any other reviews for The Boathouse! Heading down next weekend and I see there is a Kip Moore concert there, we were gonna check it out. Thanks!

Who is Kip Moore?

Checked out the restaurant on-line, and it looks like a really fun place. Good menu, too: http://www.boathousemb.com/

New country music artist...he sings "Somethin' about a truck". Matt Stillwell is there tonight - another new singer, thats where I first heard about The Boathouse.

The menu looks good - the pictures make it look fun. Was just looking for any new reviews!

Does anyone know if they are slower on Thursday nights? I looked up their schedule for the last week of June when we will be there and there is nothing on for that night. We want to go with the boys (2 & 4) but don't want to go when it's really crowded or loud. The menu looks GREAT!

The Boathouse always has a crowd at night, weekends and especially Sundays are jam packed all day,
College will be out so Thur should be fine for y'all, just don;t go to eat late with the youngun's,
also a good place to eat is his wife's place down on the Blvd. Lulu's Cafe.
