This one just opened and it sounds like it could easily become one of my favorites.. anyone tried it yet? I'd love to hear about it.

We may give it a try next week. If so, I will report. Thanks.

Sounds good!! Adding this to our must-do list for August. Problem is..the list is getting too long!

The one review is pretty bad and if the service is as they said, it is no different from the previous restaurant they owned in the same location.

Gary, that don't sound good. Hopefully, it was just a disgruntled reviewer, cuz it sure does sound good.

Their menu looks good, and I remember walking past right after they opened, and it smelled delicious!

Lou and Bob (blights) really liked this place according her trip report.

Those prices look pretty good... especially the lunch plates. Thanks for posting!

Nobody has given this place a try yet? We are planning on trying it this year. Will make sure I give a review of it.

The beast, TripAdvisor, has about 60 reviews and most are fairly good, oddly, as you know how T/A goes, it can be very hot/cold and "suspect." Even Yelp has either 1 stars or 5 stars, so something is weird. Need one of the MBMB peeps to head over there and give it the once over! :)

We went to Sweet Carolina's twice this trip a couple weeks ago. It's very good...but go early!! The first time we went it was about 7pm and they were out of bbq chicken, brisket and salmon! It's not too expensive, portions are good sized and not crazy huge. Slow service our second time (it was 5pmish and they were pretty busy). Here's a review from my trip report - if you check there, I've also put up a link with some photos of the bbq:

OMGosh - it smelled good and tasted even better! But GO EARLY! We got there and they were already sold out of 3 main menu items. After you order, they bring out a "loaf" of cornbread and butter. Yummy! I ordered the 2 meat combo - had the pulled pork and bbq wings, it also came with a salad, one side and a single hushpuppy (which was tasty and had peppers in it, wish we got more!). They have 3 sauces on the table you can use - original (which was good, kind of tomato-y to me), sweet (which I LOVED, like Sweet Baby Ray's), and vinegar (which I didn't try because I know I don't care for that type). Everything was very, very good! Good service, too. My bill was $21.70 (again, $2.49 for a pop!)
