While I would prefer to eat only seafood while on vacation at Myrtle Beach, our daughter has other ideas. Thus, we've tried several Mexican restaurants along the Grand Strand over the years and I just realized that the Fiesta Mexicana is near our hotel, and is a "sit down" type of Mexican Restaurant.

I used the search tool and saw a few posts that included this restaurant, and an old review by Lou that is no longer there. If anyone has been there, let me know (good or bad) about the restaurant:

I've been there twice and I am still alive. I really enjoy their food and its better then what I get at a Mexican Restaurant back home. We always go early for happy hour and would love to try their lunch buffet sometime.

You get complementary chips and salsa. I believe every meal comes with refried beans and rice. Its reasonably priced and good portions. Friendly staff. Clean.

Here is their facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fiesta-Me ... 4092218434

Check out the photos. They have a couple of the menu and a few of the food.

Hopefully Lou will chime in here. I know she loves that place to.

We also are big fans of Fiesta Mexicana. We normally go for lunch at least once every visit to Myrtle Beach. We have been going there for probably 8 years. The lunch menu is very reasonable, in fact all their prices are very good. Chips and salsa are always fresh and good. If you are looking for sophisticated Mexican food or nouveau cuisine this may not be the place for you. It is pretty traditional Mexican food. Lived the first half of my life in CA and this is what I was use to growing up. My maiden name was Guerrero so you can tell what my heritage is. The service has always been good. The decor is pleasant and I consider it pretty clean. My husband orders a drink called Horchata. It is a rice based drink that he really likes. I can testify to the quality of their margaritas, Very Good! Our lunch bill is usually around $15. plus tip for two of us.

we always went there for a margarita. We did eat there once, and the food is good. Service is good, nothing wrong with the place. We didn't go last time we were there because they'd raised the price of their specials on margarita's. The servers do their job, but they aren't overly friendly.. they are not rude or anything.. they're polite.. but, after awhile I guess you have to go forth and try something different...lol..
