Made it official this week. Room is booked. Can't wait. It has been an unbearably cold winter here in Ohio. And as is typical, crazy weather too. It was snowing yesterday and it's supposed to be 75 Tuesday. The flu hit our house this weekend (really thought we had dodged it  ) so I am more than ready to start counting down the days!!!!

Glad to hear you are booked. Now you can get in the countdown mode and start making your list of things to do! :nanner:

Everybody had a stinkin' cold winter this year...us too There were days when I wanted to hibernate and not wake up until March!

We'll probably be staying at the Beach Cove again for an evening this year as well.

Congratulations. That's usually our annual week down but we have moved our trip to mid-july. Got to schedule around the kids sports schedule. End of June is a great time to be in MB. Enjoy.

Sounds like it will be a great time.

Wish my family could have fit a trip in this year. We are heading to Hilton Head this summer instead.

3 more days!!! To say we are excited is an understatement. Kids have come up with their list of must do things, house is clean, pet arrangements have been made. All that is left to do is pack and get the car cleaned up. We leave Friday morning after dropping the dogs off, we take a different route than most of those from Ohio, so we spend the night in Lake Norman. Then it's a nice easy drive to the beach. We gave up on making the drive straight through several years ago. It's just too hard with the kids and we feel like we always lost a day anyway because everyone was so tired and cranky the first day there.
We have friends down there right now so we have been loving all of their pictures and adventures, it has made this past week fly by. This is our 18th year traveling to Myrtle Beach so we can't wait to get back to our favorite place!!
I try to disconnect while there, so the trip report will come once we get back!!
Melissa

Wow. 3 days. Makes me can't wait until we pull out in a little over 3 weeks.

The week before is one of my favorites. Every task is pretty much linked to getting ready for departure. Have fun and feel free to fill us in on the rest of the pre-trip.

Printed out some travel games for the kids and made travel binders for them today. Downloaded some movies for them. I'm a realist and know that most of their trip will be spent on electronics, but every year I print these games off and we have a lot of laughs with them. Like one year we could not find a cow to save our lives. Southeast Ohio and we couldn't find a cow... it has become the running joke between us. It's the little things that make road trips both bearable and fun. This is the first year I haven't had a list made up, truly felt like I could do it all from memory :bootyshake: Yeah, that's why I'm sitting here at midnight making my panic list :toofless: Gotta make a pharmacy run in the morning then this momma is getting a pedicure, then home to pack everyone up. It's almost here!!!!!

I always say getting there is half the fun. Sounds like you are prepared.
