Anyone know of any general locations that offer hair braiding? We're staying at Ocean Creek this trip, saw my parents tonight (who've stayed before) and they couldn't remember if they have someone doing it onsite. DD had it done at Ocean Reef last year, and again at Disney this May. We've decided that it's worth the $$ for us - keeps her hair looking nice ALL trip and after and it's out of her face when swimming! Wondering if there's any place at BL or BATB that does it if we don't find someone at Ocean Creek.

Thanks!

Same at Caribbean, but you should call ahead to get her schedule. It's probably the same lady, she just visits various resorts.

Caribbean's main number is 1-800-552-8509, ask to be connected to the front desk.

Good luck !

Check with Leo to see where he gets his hair braided :hysterical:

Thanks everyone! If we can't find someone, we can always go to the Ocean Reef I'm sure. Hoping someone comes right to OC though!

If you don't find them onsite somewhere - or if it's more convenient - several of the small downtown shops along Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach do hair braiding, hair wraps, henna tattoos, etc.

I figured this topic may come up sometime, as these are quite popular - so I took photos of this during a few visits in the area so far this summer.

These were taken just north of the Ripley's Museum, same block, same side of the street:

Every time I've seen Leo - in person or by photo - he was wearing a ballcap.

So NOW the great question has been answered?

Leo DOES have hair? :joker:

I saw hair braiding at Broadway At The Beach right beside Liberty Steak House.

Liberty Steakhouse is our favorite MB restaurant so we might be making that our first night dinner and getting the braids done then!

thanks so much!

Do adults ever get it done? I would think it would start to ache after a while, like when you have a ponytail in toooo long. Also, do you put sunscreen between each row? Sunburn would be bad, peeling would be awful!

I have med-long hair and it sure would be easy...or would it? Does sand get stuck in the rows?

Just wondering in case I ever want to consider it.

I got it done in Cancun many years ago, so yes, adults can do it. It hurt just a little for the first day or so, and DD says the same thing, just a little sore. Sunscreen on the exposed scalp is a definite MUST!
