My friend Elisa and I had lunch at bisQit yesterday. It is a restaurant located in the Hammock Shops in Pawleys Island.

If you have not been to the Hammock Shops you might want to add it to your next vacation. In addition to the unique one-of-a-kind shops, you can watch the original Pawley Island Hammocks being made.

But this review is not about the Hammock Shops, it is about bisQit, a restaurant located amid the lofty trees and gardens of the Hammock Shops.

We asked a woman in one of the small shops where we shopped what she would recommend for lunch, and she didn’t hesitate to say "go to BisQit. They have reasonable prices and great good!"

BisQit is owned by Josh Quiguley who founded another restaurant we love - Quigley’s.

The service was excellent, the food was good, and the atmosphere was perfect.

I ordered the “Gatherer Salad” which had plenty of grains, nuts and other good things that I love to eat. The cost was around $8.00, and it was perfect for me. I ate it all!

Elisa ordered the soup of the day - a sausage & bean soup which she said was excellent.

Ellisa also ordered the Pita Chips which she shared with me. While the toppings were very good, there were not enough toppings to cover the chips. And as we all know, Pita Chips alone are downright boring.

Would we go there again? YES! It was a lovely day to eat on the porch, and we enjoyed the good service, the friendly atmosphere, and reasonable prices.
