I know I reviewed JimmyZ not long ago in this same lunch category, but I'm doing it again. After my friend Gail and I had lunch there (previous review) we decided we needed to take our husbands for lunch at Jimmy Z's newest location.

Getting all 4 of us together for lunch is not as easy as it sounds because, although they work for the same company, they are in different offices with different schedules. But during any given month, its bound to work out that they share a few days off.

The new location is on Pine Island Rd, at Seaboard St. near Costco and Best Buy in a shopping strip that also has a 5 Guys.

This location has a much better atmosphere than the Surfside Beach location but the menu is the same.

I had the Hibachi Shrimp lunch plate (7.75)

Wally chose the Hibachi Steak lunch plate (7.75)

Gary ordered the Fried Rice Shrimp Bowl (6.99)

Gail enjoyed the Hibachi Steak Wrap (7.25)

All the lunches were delicious, but in my opinion, Gail's choice was the winner due to the Sweet Potato Fries which are fixed Southern Style (coated in sugar.) I probably ate half the fries on her plate because she kept saying "Eat some! I am already full!" (Hey! What are friends for if you can't eat off their plates?)

Patrish, thanks for posting this. The food looks great and the prices are even better. We have a vegetarian in the family and this looks like a good spot.

The food looks wonderful. I had to laugh at your comment about sharing food with your friends. There are 5 of us girls that do girls night out frequently and we almost always order different things and share. It is just second nature to grab something off someones plate  So yes if you can't share food with a friend then who can you share with.

we had dinner at this location last night. My wife had the chicken terriyaki plate and I had Hibachi scallops and mahi mahi. Both of us really liked it my wife actually had enough left over for lunch today. Good call Patrish we'll probably go back next week for lunch.

Thanks, metric. During the long weekend Labor Day, they had the annual Beach Boogie and BBQ here at The Market Common. It was a BBQ cook-off, but when I saw JimmyZ had set up a tent, I told Wally he could get all the BBQ he wanted. I was having JimmyZ! :nanner:

We had dinner at the 61 ave N location. They had the chicken bowl for $5 my wife had that and I had the shrimp hibachi. Both were very good we both had water w/lemon and the bill was less than $15.
