This restaurant was opened by a South Carolina couple and it seems to be doing quite well. They feature a Southern-style menu made from scratch every day. My friend Gail and I decided to give it a try for lunch last week after hearing good things about it.

Upon being seated we were presented with a plate of...you guessed it...thinly sliced pickled cucumber slices!

We both chose the Southern Caesar Salad because we couldn't resist the idea of fried okra topping. It was quite good. I like fried okra when it is hot, crisp and golden...and that's exactly how it was served. If fried okra is not your cup of tea, you'll find plenty of other Southern dishes on the menu, all reasonably priced.

Service was good and the restaurant was busy. On our next visit we'll take our husbands!

Located 828 Surfside Drive, Surfside Beach.

Here's the menu:

This place sounds like a good one. We are always glad to find a new eatery in the Surfside area! We will visit this place in August...saw that they are offering breakfast as well! Thanks, Patrish!

Just wanted to second what Patrish said. We have been there a few times for lunch and it is very good. Like she says, it is simple, homemade, and inexpensive food.
At first they did breakfast and lunch, but that didn't quite work out. I tried breakfast once and they had maybe four things on the menu no pancakes and no omelets. They now do lunch and dinner and it seems to be working much better.
They usually post their specials on their Facebook page each day and have them written on a large chalkboard at the restaurant.
