I mentioned this restaurant in my trip report (Long weekend with my friend Judy 9/20 - 9/23) but thought I would add it to our restaurant review
section since I don't think it has been mentioned before.

Here's their website:

Who could resist this truck in the parking lot?

We both ordered the shrimp salad (9.99) and agreed that it was excellent. Service was good, and even the owner came by our table to ask if we were enjoying our lunch.

The restaurant is old but quaint, decorated in old signs and photos, giving you the feeling of having stepped into the past. For instance, the sign on
the ladies room door said "No lifeguard on duty." While it's not fancy at all, the service and food were very good.

This is a good stop if you are heading south to Brookgreen Gardens or Pawleys Island.

We loved this place. Never ever had crabcakes any place what so ever that were as good as litchfield fish house. My daughter went there a couple weeks ago when her and her husband were down there. She loved it, and said it was no wonder we liked it so much. We went there twice since and they were closed both times (2 different trips). the advice patrish gave us was to be sure to call before going all the way there. Its good advice... take it. IF you catch them open you'll love them.
