After more than 20 years in the same location on the Surfside Pier, Nibils has found a new home at the corner of North Kings Hwy. and 33rd. Ave. N. (3301 North Kings Hwy.)

Without getting into politics (and there were plenty) Jack Cahill, his wife Margaret, and their daughter, restaurant manager Maureen, decided it was in their best interest to open in new location.

They have been doing quite well since their grand opening in February, and I was there for lunch today, Friday 15th, with several of my women friends.

At first glance, it seemed I was back in the old Nibils! But this location was bigger, and of course there was no ocean outside the windows. However, the wallpaper they chose gave the illusion of a nearby beach. The friendly staff was there, and the menu looked just like it always has. Jack Cahill came around to the various tables, greeting us, obviously happy to see his Surfside customers giving support to the new location.

I ordered what I always order at Nibils…the Shrimp Salad for 9.99. It's delicious! (Why change, when I've been enjoying this menu item for so many years?) It consisted of more than enough shrimp, plenty of fresh fruit, and a delicious fruit dipping. Really more than I need for lunch!

Nibils is open for both breakfast and lunch, and you can't go wrong with anything you order.

Really appreciated the review of the new Nibil's. It was always one of our favorites when it was on the Surfside Pier. You said they were open for breakfast and lunch. Does that mean they no longer serve dinner. They always had really nice early bird specials. The Church we attend while in Myrtle Beach is St. Andrew's. We have attended a number of dinners there which Jack Cahill has catered. I miss them being on the Pier but wish them much success in their new location. Next time we are in MB we are definitely going to Nibil's.

I, too, am a Nibil's fan. We are really going to miss the Surfside Pier location. We will be visiting the new MB place in August. We have eaten both breakfast and dinner at Nibil's and have always been pleased! Great food, friendly staff...comfy feeling...even when they are really busy! :sunny:

At this time, Nibils is open for breakfast and lunch only....NOT dinner. Breakfast is served 6:30 - 11:30. Lunch is served 11:30 - 2:30.
