Disclaimer: we have always preferred Broadway to Barefoot. :nanner:
We did stop by Barefoot because it was literally right down the street from our hotel and I wanted to see what was new. I have to say, major disappointment. 2 of the 3 bridges were closed. Parking was a nightmare. We walked down by Lulu's to see what was going on. (I won't eat there because let's just say one horrendous experience at a Buffet family restaurant is enough), but once we got down there, there was nothing else around it. It looks like it will be nice once they are done with all of the construction, but it was kind of a mess trying to walk around. We couldn't even find the bbq restaurant we were looking for, not sure how we missed it, but we were so frustrated because all of the bridges were blocked that we couldn't get back to the car fast enough. Then there is only one way in and out so the traffic at the light to leave took a good 30 minutes. We just decided one in a week was more than enough. Hopefully it will be better once everything is finished and up and running. Feel like I sound like a crochety old woman, sorry guys. Probably just not our thing. LOL. :dontknow:

I member when BATB first opened it put BL to shame, then a few years ago I felt that the tides had changed and BL was the superior attraction...now it looks like its going back to BATB.

I've not been to BL in years. Probably over a decade. I remember when BL first opened and the police would be sitting on business 17 getting traffic in and out of the place. Sounds like they still have some traffic issues going on. Don't really know why we quit going, guess it's just because BATB is closer to where we stay.

They’re totally redoing the entire area. They’ve tore down buildings and filled in part of the lake. There’s a ton of work going on. Once it’s finished it looks like it’s going to be very nice.

Usually when B&C remodels one, they remodel the other (Paula Deen = LuLu's.)

Here's a list of properties owned by Burroughs & Chapin:
