We are here!! This is this first live report I can do because I finally entered the 21st century and got an iPhone 6!! Woohoo!

We left NY Thursday morning around 3 am. An uneventful trip thank goodness. We arrived at the house at 3 pm. Everything was in bloom!

We spot cleaned the house and headed out. First stop was Golden Corral for the salad bar and chocolate fountain. I am gluten free now so I have a bit more limited choices eating out. This was good because everyone got what they wanted. We then headed to WalMart and Home Depot for necessities.
We are getting 3 new doors and storm doors installed so this trip is a working/playing combo!
Friday we deep cleaned and then cleaned some more. Then off to the beach and Basils in Cherry Grove for wings and salad.
We sat on the beach for awhile and just relaxed. We picked up some dinner fixing and a movie and called it a night. It was so great to be home!!

Your photos are excellent! So glad you are safely "home."

Look forward to seeing you later today at the meetup! (This is a 6 PM, Mellow Mushroom, North Myrtle Beach for anyone who can come!)

Saturday we awoke to rain but the promise of nicer weather was in store. We actually did a ton of more work in and out of the house. Paul and SY pole sawed around our perimeter. Our property manager came by and visited for awhile which was wonderful. Saturday night we had our meetup with Patrish Wally and other members. So much fun!

Sunday we woke to sun!! Yay!! We went to church and spent the day on the beach. Perfect weather!! That evening we went to Martinis for dinner. I will write a review in the proper section of the board but in one word the restaurant was AMAZING!!

Emmy.
I am glad you are back in your " happy place." We look forward to getting together next year.

I love your wisteria. I had read somewhere that if you fertilize wisteria with fertilizer specially formulated for tomatoes that they produce abundant blooms. I told my friend a few years ago, she tried it and it worked!

Enjoy your stay at the beach.

I'm glad you're having fun. We decided to try Basils last time we were there, based largely on your previous reports. I got a "white pizza" It was surprisingly good.

We are back in NY and I must apologize. We do not have wifi in Longs and I ran out of data. My error in judgement. But let's continue!

Monday we went to the beach and again the weather was breezy but lovely !! We had to go to Lowes and meet with our contractor for the instillation of our 5 doors. Dinner that night was Capt. Jules in Little River. We sat on their deck and enjoyed crab dip and the guys had fried seafood and I had broiled. Food was good, service really good, and the view amazing!!

Ugh! Just deleted what I wrote. This is all trial and error with my phone so bear with me folks!! Tuesday we met with Patrish and Wally. Had a wonderful time and if I have never said it before Patrish makes the greatest adult beverages ever!! Whoa baby! We had a blast!! I have a video of Paul driving their golf cart which I will load if I can :hysterical: :hysterical:

We also visited Vareen Gardens in Little River. You walk along paths through the woods and along the marshes. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Really peaceful and relaxing among the hustle and bustle of Myrtle!

Wednesday we headed again to the beach but it was windy...I mean really windy. We sucked it up as long as we could and then headed back to the house. The sun was blazing at the house and the wind was diminished. We grabbed lawn chairs and books and sat in our yard and just relaxed. The view was perfect...

We had a really successful beach gathering of sea urchin shells this trip. They were all empty and the little urchin had passed but the shells were magnificent. We collected them and put them on a shelf in the little houses' bathroom! They were all sizes, so pretty!!
Image

The ocean was just what we needed after a New York winter...though it was a mild one at that. This is facing the Cherry Grove pier. Our favorite beach spot!
