We are practically neighbors!! We live in Landen. We have never taken the route down 75 to Tennessee and over, but are considering it after the awful traffic on 77 this year!

We are also Landen residents. We have lived in Montgomery Hills since 1990. Our youngest will be a Junior at Kings High School.

We actually are growing tired of the I-75 route. That stretch on I-40 through the mountains is never easy. Mapquest continues to suggest the I-77 route. I may try it next year.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

What a beautiful view from the deck!

My stomach growled as I stopped to look at that cheesecake photo,

Thanks for the great trip report!

You will not believe this, we live in Montgomery Hills as well. Kids are both at JF Burns. Too funny. Small world!!

After the next round of golf, you might want to post a video so we can all critique your swing

Great report - thanks !

My wife drove until just south of Spartanburg SC then I took over the remaining rainy drive back to Ohio. I think it rains every time I drive through the mountains on I-40.

We probably passed each other somewhere along the way. It was a terrible day for a road trip. It rained on us from the time we left Kentucky until we got to almost Columbia. No fun driving at night through that stretch of I40 in the pouring rain. It was the 2nd worst vacation drive that I have endured. The only thing that topped this trip was when I drove in a pouring rain from my driveway in Kentucky to the Florida line.
