We had a great time at the beach despite the rain.. we are not the type that actually go into the water.. We prefer to look at it. My daughter likes to go in but not alone, and there was nobody that could do that. We enjoyed the restaurants, the shopping, just sitting on the balcony looking at the ocean... the first day at least!!! All went well, for which I am glad. Our favorite restaurant was Bar b que house in north myrtle.. 3 people split a rack of ribs and I got the Brunswick stew with sides. I didn't want my sides, so I gave it to the rest.. it worked out where the three of them got the sides they wanted, and after splitting the rack of ribs, it came out to just a little over $7 for each of them.. not bad at all!! I absolutely loved the Brunswick stew which I'd never had before. I have tried and tried to find a description of it but can't.. On the menu at the restaurant it gave a description, while the online menu's do not. If anyone goes there I'd sure be grateful if you'd copy that description and post it for me. If I had that I could make the stuff. There are hundreds of recipes online, but I need that description..

Glad you had a good time. We also prefer the ocean from the balcony. Lol

Balcony club here too. Haven't been down to ground level yet :)

Glad you had a great trip. I don't think any trip to Myrtle Beach can be ruined by a little rain. :nanner:

Lou and Christine, since I have to stay out of the sun due to several auto-immune diseases, you can count us in as members of the balcony club as well! :sunny: (But I have to wait until the sun moves off the balcony before I can enjoy it!) :BandHead:

Sun or no sun the balcony view is the best. Nothing in life seems as soothing as the ocean and looking down that endless shore.
