Thanks for the info, we will be down next weekend and look forward to being there.
They can call it whatever they like, it will always be Christmas tree to me.

We got there around 4:30 yesterday, had dinner and then found out it was canceled when we asked where the tree was located.
Too bad, the weather turned out to be pretty nice, no rain and only needed a sweatshirt. Still, it was a good nite for a walk around BAB. We won't be here on the seventh so we will miss it, but will be back in December for the Nights of a Thousand Candles in Brookgreen Gardens, already purchased tickets. Don't think they will cancel that one (least I hope not).

Bruce, I thought of you when I heard of the cancellation. I was thinking you were down here full time, but I guess not.

I was at BG last week and they already had the lights strung from the big oaks. We usually do "Nights" every other year. Last year as we were leaving around 8 PM the incoming traffic was backed up to Murrells Inlet. I'm not making that up. We didn't think all the people would get in the gates before the Gardens closed. We heard later that some didn't, and every night was like that. The crowds were the largest ever. So go early....we usually get there late afternoon.

Besides, if you go early, it's fun to watch the event they always save for last...lighting the candles in the ponds.

Glad you posted that info because I can pretty much guaranty I would be one of those people stuck in the line. Will be there early enough to watch the candle lighting for sure.
Not living there yet (I wish). Spent the summer and now with the cheap flights we go down for 4 days or so a month. Permanent sometime this summer.
Thanks again!
