My wife is into the scrapbooking/craft thing. Last night she was wondering about stores down that way.

She said she used to go to the one at Barefoot Landing - but that is now gone. Does anyone know if the store moved - or went out of business?

Then, she found one at BATB. She was looking online and she saw a comment that maybe that one is gone - or out of business - too. ????

Does anyone know anything about these stores?

Or, does anyone know of any other stores like these in the area. I have to imagine that a few have popped up in the last year or so.

Thanks,

Rick

Rick -

I believe this is the one that moved from Barefoot Landing:
Scrapping at the Beach
1147 Robert Grissom Parkway
843-626-7073

It wasn't much bigger than the one at BATB, but maybe with the new location its better. However, I've never really been impressed by either store, not much to choose from.

Thanks for the reply.

If you are not that impressed with those stores - are there others in the area that are better?

We had an old string about scrapbooking, but when I found it I discovered that only one of the places was still in business.

Dawne mentioned Old World Pottery as having a lot of scrapbooking material, and Scrapbooks By The Sea received a favorable review. Here are the links:

Rick - Scrapbooks by the Sea is a really nice little store. They have a lot of Myrtle Beach specific stuff. I spent way too much money the last time I was there!

I did see a scrapbooking store on Robert Grissom Parkway when were down in December. I can't remember exactly where, but it was on the right side heading south. I'm thinking it was before we got to BATB (north) but I can't be sure. It may have been between BATB and the Coastal Grand Mall. I do remember that it was in one of those little plazas that look like it could also contain offices and maybe apartments upstairs. It sat close to the road. Sorry I can't be more helpful as to the location, or even the name.

It is after BATB as you go south. Just past the entrance to the Pelican's baseball stadium. A little plaza on the right - you have to enter BEFORE you get to the plaza though!

She found a few "unique" things and today we will look for the other stores down south near Murrels Inlet and the area.

Good info, thanks!! I don't know if I've gone past BATB ever, but I will this August! I'd like to find a nice MB title or some neat accents for my trip album.

Bumping this for possible updates?

Time for the annual trip (April) - can I surprise my wife with any new scrapbooking stores?

Anyone know of anything new or interesting that I should take her too?
